Noticeboard

The NHS have launched a new campaign this week focusing on how we, the public, can support the emergency services.

As you will be aware, the NHS is currently experiencing a spike in demand for all our health services, which is in turn putting pressures on acute and emergency services, as well as primary care. Please click NHS 111 Campaign and Poster to find out more about how we can all help our NHS.

GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The Average pay for GPs working at The Burwell Surgery in the last financial year before tax and national insurance is £70,535.

This is for 3 full time GPs, 4 part time salaried GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and it should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor make any comparison with any other practice.
